Hello everyone, I have exciting and inspirational film Blade Runner (1982) to talk about and express my reaction about it. Noir Genre refers an attitude and style. It is the dark melodramas of crime and corruption. It a psychologically dark as well as it is an intricate and artificial visual style. Hardboiled crime fiction book and L’sObessione (Visconti 1942) film are great example of it. Key writers of this genre are Raymond Chandler, James M. Cain and Dashiell Hammett. Basically, themes explore corrupt city and potential for crime, male ambition and duplicity. Mood refers basically claustrophobia and moral ambiguity. It considers hybrid genre.
Blade Runner (1982) is a hunting, eerily prophetic mixture of science fiction American film directed by Ridley Scott. This film must pursue and try to terminate four replicants who stole a ship in space and have returned to earth to find their creator. It is a pretty exciting Noir and science fiction Genre film. Harrison Ford is a protagonist character as Rick Deckard in this film and he is a retired Blade Runner for the Los Angeles Police department and he is reluctant to reprise his role as a Blade Runner. His performance was very impressive.
Antagonist utger Hauer as Roy Batty is the leader of the rouge replicants and led them to earth in an attempt to extend their limited life spans. He did wonder performance. Other central character also done well performance. Camera angles: varies from low to high for effect. Roy shot towering over Deckard to indicate his supremacy. Slow and fast shots. Symbolism: The eye, the window to the soul – barometer of emotions and truthfulness. Organ of vision and perception. Roy to Chew. According my analysation it is a great film for sure. Check this out when you guys have spare time to watch because old is always gold and it is a great movie.
